I am excited to announce that PyOTA v2.0.0 is now in beta!
If you are using v1.1.3, this is a HUGE update! Here are the highlights:
- Implemented Kerl and Curl-P-81 support for compatibility with the latest snapshot.
- Implemented multisig extension.
- Implemented address security levels.
iota-cli command-line application.
- Added support for C Curl extension, which significantly boosts the performance of certain crypto operations.
Plus a ton of enhancements and bugfixes! A full changelog will be prepared when v2.0.0 is ready for production release. In the meantime, check out the beta release notes here:
Note: This is a beta release. The library needs additional vetting before I feel comfortable recommending it for mainnet. For now, please only use this library to create transactions on testnet.
PyOTA v2 will stay in beta during this week. During this time, please try it out! Integrate it into your applications and put it through its paces on testnet. If you find any issues, please post here and/or on the PyOTA Bug Tracker:
You can install the PyOTA v2 beta using pip:
pip install --pre pyota[ccurl]
[ccurl] part installs an optional C extension that improves the performance of the Curl-P-81 hash algo significantly.
